This Is How Denise Richards Feels About Turning 50
The RHOBH alum opened up about her milestone birthday.
Denise Richards is 50 and fabulous! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum took to Instagram to reflect on her milestone birthday while also offering a peek inside her intimate celebration at home.
In a sweet video posted on February 18, Denise can be seen blowing out the candle on two delicious-looking cakes while feting her special day with her family. “My daughter made this video last night. My 50th birthday…I still can’t believe I’m 50!!!!” she wrote in the caption alongside the clip. “How is the chick from Wild Things & Starship Troopers 50???!!! Yikes.”
The mom of three also opened up about her mixed feelings regarding the big birthday. “I’ll be honest I had a bit of anxiety leading up to this birthday. And not just for obvious reasons, because I really do still feel like I’m a silly big kid. It’s because of my mom,” she explained. “She turned 50 when I was pregnant with Sami and shortly after was diagnosed with cancer & passed away a few years later.”
Despite having “a bit of fear and anxiety” about turning 50, Denise went on to share her gratitude for her journey, writing, "I know my mama was with me yesterday and always around watching over us. And I’m so incredibly blessed. And on a superficial level, our tiny intimate celebration blowing out candles with my loving family around our fireplace sitting on our living room floor.”
In addition to celebrating with her family, Denise got plenty of birthday love from other Bravolebs. “Happy 50th!!” The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Rossi wrote in the comments, while The Real Housewives of New York City’s Ramona Singer added, “A very happy birthday.” Tamra Judge also chimed in, writing, “Happy birthday. The 50’s are the best!”
