Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill Discuss Whether They're Going to Sign a Prenup on Live TV
"I have had my money taken before, so I'm good," The Real Housewives of Atlanta fiancé said.
There's been a lot of talk about money among the couples of The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season. So it's no surprise that Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill have given some thought to how their finances are going to work after they tie the knot.
When the topic of prenups came up during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on January 5, Cynthia broke down where her head is at when it comes to signing this often-controversial document. "I think so. I think it's just smart. It protects everyone. We're working on a lot of really great things together," she explained in the above clip. "We actually had this conversation with Kandi [Burruss] and Todd [Tucker], and you guys got a chance to see how they kind of worked it out."
Cynthia and Mike previously talked about prenups with Kandi and Todd, as well as Kenya Moore and Marc Daly, while out to dinner the day after their engagement earlier this season of RHOA. As we saw, it wasn't easy for either married couple to decide what will happen to their bank accounts if they unfortunately divorced.
During the WWHL After Show, Cynthia asked Mike, who served as the guest bartender, if he was also OK with signing a prenup, and he agreed that it would be the best course of action. "I have had my money taken before, so I'm good," he said, to which Cynthia replied, "I don't take money."
Mike then clarified that he was "not implying that she would take my money." "I'm saying when you come into a relationship, what's yours is yours, what's mine is mine, and what we make together, we can split, if it happens to end that way," he said before noting, "which it won't end that way, so we won't even think about it."
Still, Cynthia joked that Mike was being "shady!"
With the decision about the prenup down, Cynthia and Mike still have plenty of details to hammer out about their big day set for October 10, 2020, including who from the RHOA crew — if anyone — will be a bridesmaid. "I'm not doing a small wedding. I don't think it's gonna be super big," Cynthia said during the WWHL After Show when asked if any of the RHOA ladies will be standing beside her at the altar. "But in terms of bridesmaids, I don't know if I'm going to have bridesmaids, honestly."
What is Cynthia so hesitant about, you ask? "Well, it's the drama," she explained.
Yeah, that's understandable.
