Caroline Speaks Out on Teresa's Legal Woes
Manzo says her family will stay quiet "because it is just too big."
The Real Housewives of New Jersey are always asked to comment on each other's drama, but now that Teresa and Joe Giudice are facing a 39-count federal indictment for fraud, Caroline Manzo says the time has come for shutting up.
On last night's Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Manzo about the biggest issue facing the Jersey Housewives right now, and Caroline said that while she did text Teresa on the day of the indictment, she's keeping the contents of that message private. "And she respond back and I'm going to keep that to myself as well," she says.
"You know, Andy, I can't even wrap my head around it," Manzo tells Andy, calling the serious turn of events "unexpected."
"This is a big deal," she says. "And I think for us, the Housewives, we always comment on trivial things, and I think for me, you know, the Manzo family, I think our position is going to be just stay quiet because it is just too big and too serious for the peanut gallery. You know? And I'm just going to leave it at that."
Manzo was also asked to comment on how Teresa seems to be downplaying the role Manzo played in the big Giudice-Gorga reconciliation that went down in Lake George after Caroline drove up to the retreat at Teresa's request.
"No surprise there. It's all good," Manzo says. "As long as everybody's in a happy place, I'm happy. It's all good. There are things in life I worry about getting credit for, that's not one of them."
