Carl Radke Told Summer House Producers to Shut off the Cameras for *This* Reason
Plus, find out what happened after he and Lindsay packed up and left the house.
Carl Radke is feeling the heat after popping the question to Lindsay Hubbard — and it's not because the temperature is high in the Hamptons.
In the closing moments of Season 7, Episode 13, Carl had a one-on-one conversation with Robert Sieber about why he chose not to tell Danielle Olivera about his proposal plans. The episode then ended with Carl walking to the parking lot and asking the cameras to leave him alone.
"I'm done. I don't want the camera here..." Carl said as Kyle Cooke followed him to the parking lot to talk. "No f-cking camera. No f-cking cameras."
Viewers found out what happened next when Episode 14 aired on May 15.
"The most important thing I've ever done in my entire life is literally ruined because I didn't do something I should have," Carl told Kyle in the opening minutes of the episode. "That's insane. I've never heard of anything like this in my entire life. I'm shaking, I'm so f-cking mad."
From there, Carl and Lindsay decided to leave the rest of the Summer House crew behind to get a break from the drama with Danielle.
"For me, personally, it is best that I'm not in the house," Carl told Kyle on the phone the following morning after he and Lindsay spent the night at a friend's house. "I mean, last night we were gone and nobody said a word to us. It just doesn't seem like actually anybody really cares."
When they returned to the share house the next day, it was only to grab their belongings.
"Yeah, I'm getting my stuff, and I'm packing the car, and we're going," Carl told a Summer House producer when he went to retrieve his things. He then covered the camera in his room with a shirt.
"Babe, come on. I know you're pissed off. I'm pissed off too. But, like, we can't just leave and vanish," Lindsay told her fiancée, who subsequently removed the shirt from the camera.
"The voices of support in the house are being drowned out by the voices of negativity," Carl said in an interview on the episode about why he was leaving. "And it just feels like it's best for us not to be here."
The former Loverboy VP of Sales admitted that he didn't feel welcome in the house, and he wanted to pack his stuff and move on "to another pasture."
Though Lindsay and Carl did skip the boat day to pack up their car, the episode ended with the engaged couple returning for the final party of the summer. Find out what happens next by tuning in to the Summer House Season 7 finale on May 22.
