Candiace Dillard Bassett Reveals How Having a Baby Changed Holiday Decorating (PHOTOS)
The Real Housewives of Potomac alum shared an intimate look at how this holiday season is just a little different this year.
Candiace Dillard Bassett is getting her home ready for the holidays and this year, she's doing it as a brand new mom. The Real Housewives of Potomac alum gave birth to her baby boy, Jett Maxwell Lee Bassett, two months ago, and decorating for the holidays already looks so different for her in 2024.
The first-time mom, who gave birth on Oct. 3 took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Dec. 4, where she showed how her husband, Chris Bassett, is taking care of the decorating while she held onto Jett. The "Drive Back" singer sat on the couch and held onto her baby boy, who wore the cutest pajamas, covered in clouds and stars. Meanwhile, Chris pulled out their artificial tree, flocked with snow, and started setting it up in the corner of their living room.
It's safe to say that Candiace is embracing all of these sweet little moments with her family. "Couldn't imagine last year that this year I'd be holding our baby while [Chris Bassett] puts up our tree," she wrote over the snapshots.
Candiace then turned the camera on herself, where she captured Jett sweetly lying on her chest and face. "Why would he lay on my face like this? Lolll," she wrote over the photo, before pointing out Jett's hair, sticking straight up on his head.
"Look at this little curl," she noted.

Candiace's living room looks just a bit different from her last look inside her home back in November. At the time, Candiace took to her Instagram Story, where she gave her followers a look inside the living room of her beautiful home, strewn with clothes, pillows, and other objects.
She then stood in the middle of the room, wearing a nursing bra, shorts, and her baby strapped to her chest in a baby carrier. "Come clean this living room!" she wrote over the photo.

When she isn't taking care of her adorable baby boy, Candiace is keeping touch with at least one of her former RHOP cast members: Dr. Wendy Osefo. Wendy appeared at Bravo Fan Fest on Nov. 23, where she gave a much welcomed update on how Candiace has been doing.
"I have spoken to Candiace, she's doing so good," Wendy said. "I actually spoke to her a few days ago and I heard the baby in the background... it's just so amazing and I'm so happy for her because motherhood is an amazing experience, but that newborn stage happens so fast, and you just have to really sit in it and I'm glad that she's just focused on that."
