Cameran Eubanks Spills Some Secrets About Her Mystery Husband
The #SouthernCharm pal opened up about her off-camera marriage and her favorite Charleston date spots.
Cameran Eubanks has never been shy about living her life in front of the cameras. However, as Southern Charm fans know by now, there's one aspect of her life that remains a bit of a mystery: her marriage to Jason Wimberly, a Charleston-based doctor whom she wed in April 2014. If you're hoping that Jason will someday make a cameo on Southern Charm, prepare to be disappointed.
"No, he has zero desire to be on TV. I always joke that he is just a normal person and most normal people don't want to be in the spotlight," Cameran told The Daily Dish. "Does this mean I am calling myself crazy? Absolutely. We all have a bit of an ego. Jason doesn't have one, which is part of the reason I love him so much. He's the yin to my yang."
But that doesn't mean that fans don't recognize Cameran and Jason when they are out together. "They always say, 'Oh, so you are the mystery husband!' He is always so laid back and usually offers to take a picture if someone wants a photo...which is actually rare in Charleston," she said.
While Jason is more than cool with not being on the show, he is also equally as enthusiastic about his wife's role on the small screen. "I compartmentalize Southern Charm. I don't let it interfere with my marriage which is part of the reason Jason stays off camera. He is totally supportive of me filming the show and is actually a huge fan," Cameran explained. "He hangs out with Patricia, Shep, and Whitney off camera the most."
It turns out Cameran's life is actually pretty laid-back as well. When asked to explain the most surprising thing that's happened to her since we last saw her on Southern Charm, Cameran replied, "My life is pretty boring. I like it that way. Filming the show is so nuts that when the cameras are gone I turn into somewhat of a recluse. In my spare time this week I've been cleaning my baseboards. Thrilling, I know."
Cameran did reveal there is one place that the couple has claimed as their very own romantic hot spot. "For date nights we love going to the Old Village Post House in Old Village, Mount Pleasant. They have a great outdoor area that is lovely to dine in when the weather is nice. It feels very Mayberry-esque. OK-U, downtown on King Street has amazing sushi and a hip/fun vibe. Their potato roll is perfection. I also love the good ole' Cracker Barrel and we go there every year for Valentine’s Day," she said. "I'm a cheap date."
