Brynn Whitfield's Ex Gideon Has a Surprising Connection to Mauricio Umansky: "Those Boys"
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member's ex has a very surprising tie to Kyle Richards' estranged husband.
Brynn Whitfield might be a New York City mainstay but she has a surprising connection to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kyle Richards.
The Real Housewives of New York City cast member appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, Dec. 3, where she revealed that she has a connection to Kyle's estranged husband Mauricio Umansky through her ex-fiancé Gideon Lang-Laddie. This is because Gideon, who splits his time between Los Angeles and London, is also a real estate agent who just so happens to work for Mauricio's real estate firm, The Agency.
"Gideon works with Mauricio at The Agency," Brynn told host, Andy Cohen. "They're all over the place, those boys."
Gideon previously appeared on RHONY Season 14, where he was introduced as Brynn's third ex-fiancé. He then appeared on RHONY Season 15, Episode 8, when Brynn sat him down and asked him to create embryos with her (more on that later).
Who is Brynn Whitfield's ex-fiancé, Gideon Lang-Laddie?
Gideon, according to his bio on The Agency's website, is a real estate agent who brings "20 years of finance and Wall Street experience to The Agency." This has "carried over seamlessly to his career as an agent" as he has current listings in France, England, Spain, and Scotland.
But he isn't just about business, too. He's an amateur polo player, classic car collector, fencer, fisherman, and wine enthusiast. And, according to Brynn, Gideon is a "real life Prince Charming."
"I didn't open a door for five years," she said of her relationship with Gideon during RHONY Season 14. "I didn't open a door for five years. I didn't pick up one tab. I can't even stand up at a dinner table without him jumping up."
Does Brynn Whitfield still want kids with Gideon Lang-Laddie?
After bringing up the conversation about creating embryos with Gideon in RHONY Season 15, Episode 8, Brynn told Andy on WWHL that those conversations, like her eggs, are now "on ice."
"I froze my eggs, and then everyone was telling me you need to do embryos because it's more feasible," she said.
During the aforementioned episode of RHONY, Brynn approached Gideon with the proposal of turning her eggs into embryos. "So you know how I have those eggs?" she asked him. "Well, I was thinking — crazy idea — what if we took some of those eggs out of the freezer and then made an embryo with your sperm?"
Although Gideon told Brynn that he "wasn't expecting" for them to have the conversation, he did seem interested in talking it over, more. "I love that idea," he said. "Hand on heart, love the idea. I think you would make an incredible mother. I've always thought that. I would love to be a father. Obviously, it begs the question of co-parenting."
"Instead of choosing romance for myself, I can choose a good father for my future children," Brynn explained during a confessional in the episode. "And I think that Gideon's just a really, really good man. Period."
