Bronwyn Newport Reveals the RHOSLC Moment That "Shocked" Her Husband, Todd Bradley
The RHOSLC cast member explains why her hubby was taken aback during a group trip to Palm Springs.
Bronwyn Newport says her husband, Todd Bradley, is no stranger to tense moments and heated exchanges, but even he was surprised by her friend group's infighting.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom addressed the conflict during the November 21 episode of Gabbing with Gib, explaining why her hubby of eight years became so upset during a couples’ trip to Palm Springs. Podcast host Gibson Johns pointed out that Todd appeared “uneasy” with the on-camera feuds and questioned if the businessman knew how much drama would ensue during the group getaway.
Bronwyn admits she has "an eviscerating tongue"
“Yeah, I don’t think that Todd was not expecting there to be yelling,” Bronwyn said. “But I think that Todd knows how hard I’ve worked to be my best self…. I definitely have an eviscerating tongue. I try not to bring it to every function, but it is there if I need it.”
Bronwyn was referring to RHOSLC Season 5, Episode 9, which captured her fiery back-and-forth with Lisa Barlow. The two began fighting over Bronwyn’s decision to exclude Heather Gay from the Palm Springs trip, which she organized along with Todd. While Lisa insisted she wasn’t taking sides in the Bronwyn vs. Heather feud, Bronwyn was convinced Lisa was only backing Heather. The disagreement escalated into a poolside argument in front of Todd and the other husbands.

Following the trip, Todd spoke to Bronwyn about the altercation and expressed disappointment in her actions.
“The 10 years we’ve been together, I’ve never seen you act the way you acted this weekend. You know?” he said in Season 5, Episode 10. “I know we’ve known Lisa and [her husband] John [Barlow] a long time, but for you to sit in the hot tub and scream back and forth with her is ridiculous.”
Bronwyn says Todd is "always looking out for [her] best interests"
Bronwyn told Gabbing with Gib that her husband only had good intentions and wanted to make sure she didn’t do anything she would regret.
“I think he knows that that’s ultimately not what I wanted… I didn’t want to be in a bad place with Lisa,” she said. “So I think when you see him being so protective and defensive of me… I mean, Todd is no stranger to yelling. This man runs a boardroom, he runs major companies, he has fired some people, he has yelled at some people, he is real…
“So I think he kind of was shocked to see me behave in that way, not because he doesn’t think I can or because it wasn’t reasonable in that moment, but because I think he knew I was going to go home and have rage and regret,” she explained. “We’re always looking out for our best interests.”
