Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Are "Taking Time Apart" as She Moves "Into Another Home"

Brittany Cartwright offered a major update on her and Jax Taylor's marriage during the February 29 episode of her podcast.
The Valley cast member prefaced her "serious" announcement by acknowledging that fans have been asking a lot of questions about their relationship, "and I just think it’s important to be real and honest," she said. "We’ve shared so much of our life with you guys, so I don’t want to seem like I’m lying. So, I think it’s important for me to say this."
From there, Brittany revealed that she and her husband of five years are currently "taking time apart."

Are Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor still together or are they separating?
As Brittany revealed on When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, she and Jax are currently reevaluating their relationship.
"Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," Brittany explained. "I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about and I’m taking things one day at a time."
"I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz," she said of her and Jax's two-year-old son. "I love you guys. Pray for us. And everything will be just fine."
Elaborating on her decision to share the news about her and Jax's relationship, Brittany referenced the comments she previously made about their status. "I know on my last podcast I alluded to many marriages go[ing] through rocky times, but with all the speculation online and stories running rampant, I wanted to be transparent with you guys," Brittany said on the Feb. 29 podcast. "Yes, marriages in general are very hard, and I’ve had a particularly rough year in mine this past year."
What Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor Previously Said in Response to Rumors of Separating
Initially, Brittany and Jax were both quick to shut down speculation about their marriage. As the comments that Brittany referenced, those came just one week earlier on the Feb. 22 episode of her podcast.
“I think that we will have to address some rumors, just a little bit,” she said at the time. "I’m not going to go too hard on this because, you know, some people do deserve to have their privacy, but I will say marriage is hard and people go through ups and downs all the time and it’s completely normal."
"Sometimes people might need their space, sometimes they won’t," Brittany added. "I just think that the media takes things and runs with it without knowing the true facts.”
Jax, days earlier, denied that he and Brittany had split up in the comments of a Feb. 19 Instagram post.
