The Valley mom also dismissed claims that she and Jax sparked breakup rumors for publicity.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor want to clear a few things up.
The Valley couple made headlines this week after facing another round of breakup rumors that circulated on social media. Brittany addressed those whispers in the latest episode of her and Jax’s podcast series, When Reality Hits, in which she also warned listeners to take online reports with a grain of salt.
Brittany Cartwright speaks on the "ups and downs" of marriage
“I think that we will have to address some rumors, just a little bit,” she said during the February 22 broadcast. “I’m not going to go too hard on this because, you know, some people do deserve to have their privacy, but I will say marriage is hard and people go through ups and downs all the time and it’s completely normal."
She continued: "Sometimes people might need their space, sometimes they won’t. I just think that the media takes things and runs with it without knowing the true facts.”

What sparked the Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor breakup rumors?
The rumors seemingly began during Jax's Montreal getaway, after he posted an Instagram photo that showed him posing cheek-to-cheek with his publicist, Lori Krebs. Fans immediately noted that Brittany was not on the trip, which led some to believe there was trouble in paradise. However, Jax promptly shut down the rumors on social media, insisting everything was “great” between him and Brittany.
The Vanderpump Rules alum expanded on the drama in his latest podcast episode, explaining that Lori has been a longtime fixture in both his and Brittany's lives. He also defended the aforementioned Instagram and suggested fans were making a big deal out of nothing.
“Lori’s been in our lives… She takes care of all of us,” he said, adding that Lori took similar photos with other Bravolebrities. “This was her hometown, Montreal was her hometown. She was really excited to have us there and it was just a lot of fun… it was a long time coming. I’m glad we cleared all that up because people just need to relax.”
Brittany Cartwright says her "life is not a publicity stunt"
Brittany echoed Jax and dismissed claims they were intentionally sparking breakup rumors to promote their upcoming Bravo series, The Valley.
“I just want to make one thing clear and that is that my life is not a publicity stunt for anything,” she said. “We filmed The Valley months ago, months and months and months ago. And we’re super excited for this to come out. And there’s been so many changes that has happened in every single couple’s lives — every single couple on the show. So, I just want to make that very clear. I’m not gonna touch too much on anything else, but definitely, no publicity stunts are happening here.”
Brittany and Jax tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their first child together — a son named Cruz — less than two years later. Fans will get a closer look at their post-Vanderpump Rules lives in their new reality series, The Valley, which premieres on Bravo this spring.
