Brandi Glanville: Eddie and I Were 'Ghetto Rich'

The RHOBH star claims she and her ex-husband were once living paycheck to paycheck.

Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got…The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Brandi Glanville has recently revealed that she and ex-husband Eddie Cibrian were living well beyond their means while they were married.

"Eddie and I were never truly rich," Brandi explained to the UK's Times Magazine. "We were ghetto rich. We had the nice cars, the nice house and the nice jewels, but we probably had a second and a third mortgage. We were living paycheck to paycheck, with no savings."

In fact, it seems like their entire relationship was built upon keeping up appearances. Brandi summarizes her nine-year marriage by saying, "I had a hot dinner served on time every night and I looked great on his arm. That was my role."

Though the author of the upcoming Drinking and Dating has recently admitted that the dissolution of her marriage is partially responsible for her bout with depression, there is one good lesson that she learned from her time with Eddie.

"I don't live beyond my means. I go to the 99 Cent Store," she says of her lifestyle now. "I'm not trying to keep up with the Kardashians."
