Was Bethenny Frankel Justified in Her Argument with Luann de Lesseps? The RHONY Ladies Weigh In
Luann de Lesseps also reveals whether her feelings on Bethenny Frankel leaving the cabaret early have changed.
In last Wednesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, Sonja Morgan let Luann de Lesseps know that Bethenny Frankel was unhappy about some comments Luann had made about her leaving her cabaret show early — namely, that Bethenny was going home to "watch her daughter sleep." When the RHONY ladies traveled to Luann's upstate house in Kingston, N.Y., Bethenny and Luann got into it, each arguing their positions. In The Real Housewives of New York City After Show, the other ladies weighed in on the feud and who they thought was in the right.
"I thought Bethenny was totally justified because it doesn't make sense," Dorinda Medley opined. "That should just be, as a mother and as someone who helped me so much, shouldn't even be a remote issue. What is the issue here?"
Tinsley Mortimer agreed. "I was really shocked that Luann would even have the balls to even say anything about Bethenny and her child, going home," she said. "She had to relieve the babysitter but also, it's her daughter, it's Halloween, and we had been there for hours and hours. Luann never came out to see us. We thought it was really rude."
"And everything's OK, you can be late, it's your performance, things happen, but she shouldn't have said anything to Bethenny about it. Really, that was the problem," Sonja explained.
Even Tinsley's mom, Dale Mercer, is siding with the rest of the ladies on this issue: "It was nice of Bethenny to go on Halloween; I would have wanted to be with my child that night, so I think it was a nice gesture on her part."
However, Luann still disagrees to this day. "No, I think Bethenny's totally overreacting. I mean, if I had a dime for every time she was really nasty to me, I'd be rich right now," she said.
The drama between Bethenny and Luann continues Wednesday at 9/8c. Preview, below.
