Dorinda Medley "Actually Wanted to Cry" When She Heard Bethenny Frankel Was Leaving RHONY
The RHONY star felt very emotional after Bethenny's big announcement.
After Bethenny Frankel confirmed her exit from The Real Housewives of New York City, Dorinda Medley was definitely feeling all the feels about her announcement.
"When I found out Bethenny was leaving, I was sad. I actually wanted to cry. There’s sort of a good old-fashioned aspect to her I love. She’s a true original ‘Housewife.’ It takes a brave and fearless person to do what we do. And the great thing about Bethenny is that off camera, she’s exactly like she is on camera. We’re very good, true friends. And we’re two alphas. The minute we realized we could run together in the pack, there was relief. She’ll always be one of the OGs," Dorinda told Saratoga Living magazine.
It's not the first time Dorinda has spoken on Bethenny's departure from RHONY. In August when the news broke, she took to Instagram to share her take on the exit: “Happy for you sad for the group x," she commented.
In August, Bethenny confirmed she would not return to RHONY after Season 11. Bethenny joined the RHONY family in the series' very first season back in 2008. She decided to take a break from the show after Season 3, but returned again in Season 7. Coincidentally, that just so happened to be Dorinda's first season on RHONY.
At the time, the Skinnygirl mogul told fans: "Thank you so much for your love and support. And stay tuned, you haven’t seen the last of me. There are many amazing things to come. I love you all and am so lucky to have you in my life!"
