Daisy Kelliher Reveals What “You Didn’t See” the Night of Her Makeout with Gary King
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew members gave us “a reunion first” during the Season 3 sit-down with Andy Cohen.
Andy Cohen had SO MUCH to discuss with the Parsifal III crew at the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 reunion, which aired on June 27. Of course, top of mind was what was going on with Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, who memorably made out in the hot tub early on in the charter season and who have been flirty ever since.
Though the yachties have said they are just friends and are not dating, the Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion only added to the speculation, especially since they were both speaking from separate rooms in Daisy’s London apartment during the virtual sit-down. “He arrived 10 minutes ago,” Daisy said of Gary being at her home.
She then assured Andy that Gary “will be leaving right after this.” “We’ll have a celebratory drink,” Daisy noted. “And then he’ll be on his way.”
Later in the reunion, Andy and the crew got to talking about Daisy and Gary’s steamy hot tub makeout session, which didn’t actually leave that big of an impression on the chief stew. “I genuinely didn’t remember. And I kissed a lot of people that night that you didn’t see,” Daisy said, sharing that she also smooched Tom Pearson, Ashley Marti, and Kelsie Goglia that night. “So, for me, I was like, oh yeah, I kissed Gary. It wasn’t that big a deal. And it turned out it was a real kiss.”
We’d like to point out that Daisy also shared a cheeky kiss with Barnaby Birkbeck this season.
Before Daisy and Gary locked lips, Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans were more used to seeing them argue. But even so, Captain Glenn Shephard, who has now worked with the yachties for two charter seasons, wasn’t fazed by seeing sparks fly between his crew members. “I wasn’t surprised at all,” Captain Glenn said at the reunion. “There’s obviously something going on there.”
Andy asked Daisy if she regretted making out with Gary. “I did for a long time, but no, as time passes, it’s been so long since we filmed, and we’re good friends. And it was fun. I wish I remembered it. It looked like a great kiss,” she said. “No regrets. But I did for a long time. I was pretty embarrassed.”
Gary’s feelings for Daisy aren’t a new development, according to the first mate. “I think if people have watched Season 2, I think they would realize that I’ve always had a soft spot for Daisy. I’ve always felt attracted to Daisy. It’s quite weird speaking about this ’cause she’s sitting just over there,” Gary said. “But yeah, I mean, I love Daisy. I love her as a person, I love her personality. I think she’s a superstar. Gorgeous at that.”
Scarlett Bentley, who also had a bit of a fling with Gary on this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, weighed in on whether she thinks Daisy has a thing for the first mate. “I honestly don’t know. I think they have a great friendship,” Scarlett said at the reunion. “I mean, they’ve known each other for a long time, and I think they just love each other as is.”
After Andy polled the Parsifal III crew, it was revealed that all the men think Daisy has a thing for Gary, and everyone but Daisy thinks Gary has a thing for the chief stew.
The host then predicted that Daisy and Gary “are gonna hook up tonight.” In response, Gary ran out of his room to where Daisy was sitting for the reunion and gave her a playful kiss. The yachties suddenly dropped their jaws as they realized Gary had knocked Daisy’s wine onto the floor and broken the glass. “See? They’re electric,” Andy said. “This is really a reunion first.”
Andy followed that up with a question from a fan asking Gary when he was going to “realize you’re actually in love with Daisy,” noting that it seems like “there are real feelings underneath all the joking around.”
“Perhaps there could be some truth in that,” Gary said in response, to which Daisy replied, “Oh, whatever.”
Andy closed out the topic by asking the Parsifal III crew if Daisy and Gary should make love, and everyone except the chief stew raised their hands in agreement. “This is optimistic,” Andy said.
As the reunion concluded, Andy shared that he was definitely eager to see what the future holds for Daisy and Gary. “I want to point out, Daisy and Gary, our will-they-or-won’t-they couple, they are under one roof tonight in the U.K.,” Andy said. “So we’re gonna just have to follow up on this.”
Daisy and Gary still had yet to hook up when they caught up with Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 stew Alli Dore in a “Pita Party” chat posted on Instagram on June 20. Although Gary did finally (!!) ask Daisy on a date, the chief stew wasn’t really up for it.
But don’t count #Gaisy out just yet. “We are not gonna be dating anytime soon,” Daisy said during the “Pita Party” chat. “But who knows what will happen in the future?”
