João Franco Has Something to Say About His Behavior on Below Deck Mediterranean
The deckhand's thoughts on Season 3 may surprise some Below Deck Med fans.
Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse between Hannah Ferrier and João Franco this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, Tuesday night's episode definitely proved you wrong. The tense dinner was followed up by an extremely heated time during the crew's night out. Hannah and João's drama really came to a head after he called her a certain name.
As João looks back on his actions during the intense episode, he said on Twitter Tuesday night that he's "definitely cringing." "I regret what I said. Nothing more to it," João said in another tweet.
Watching this season of Below Deck Med has actually been an enlightening experience for João, and he said he's made "a complete life change" since the charter season ended. "I didn’t realise how bad I actually was," he tweeted. "Watching this has brought a new light to me. My ego and disrespect was disgusting."
The work that João has done on himself has even helped him find even greater success in his yachting career. "I am currently on a yacht in the Med. A captain from a previous boat I worked on had called me for the bosun position on an amazing boat and I am truly grateful," João said on Twitter. "I needed to go through what I had to acknowledge my mistakes and become a good leader."
João's Below Deck Med crew member, Brooke Laughton, previously defended the deckhand against Twitter trolls. "@joaograntfranco you’re a gentleman, loving, hardworking and intelligent- the opposite of what a lot of people have seen," she tweeted. "Only the people that matter really matter."
There will be an interesting new development in João and Brooke's relationship when Below Deck Med returns with an all-new episode Tuesday, July 9 at 9/8c. See what we mean, below.
