Captain Sandy Lets Bosun Raygan Tyler Go With a Message of Encouragement: "Don't Give Up"

During the August 8 episode of Below Deck Mediterranean, Captain Sandy Yawn let Raygan Tyler go following “complete chaos” during her tenure working on Home and said the “final straw was the docking” in the previous charter.

“There was a point where you called three meters and I had less than a half a meter,” Captain Sandy said on Monday’s episode regarding the error Raygan made during the August 1 episode’s charter. “And that can’t happen, Raygan. It’s dangerous.”

Despite the error, the captain did tell Raygan, “Don’t give up,” and encouraged her to go out and get more training. “If I had the time and I wasn’t running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you,” she notes in the above clip. You can hear from Raygan following the firing in the clip above.

The bosun’s firing was a hot topic when chief stew Natasha Webb and deckhand Jason Gaskell appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday night. The yachties were asked, “Did Raygan deserve to get sacked?” and both agreed with Captain Sandy’s decision to let the bosun go and went on to reflect on more buzzy moments during the season, which you can see in the WWHL clip below.

Jason Gaskell Would Have Made Kyle Viljoen Second Stew

Elsewhere in the episode, Jason was asked, “Other than Raygan, which of your crewmates would you never want to work with again?” See his response in WWHL clip below.
