When Ben Robinson Isn’t Hanging with Kate Chastain on Galley Talk, Here’s What He’s Up to Today
The chef, who previously appeared on Below Deck and Below Deck Med, has a busy culinary career outside of Galley Talk.
Chef Ben Robinson has been a fixture in the lives of Below Deck fans since he appeared on Season 1 of the OG series. He appeared on four seasons of Below Deck before appearing on Seasons 1 and 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean, and now, lovelies, viewers get to watch him hang out weekly with Kate Chastain on Below Deck Galley Talk as the two besties chat about all the hottest topics in the Below Deck universe.
Does Ben Robinson Still Work as a Chef?
Ben is still an active chef and foodie when he’s not chilling with his BFF. In fact, he recently shared a photo of a tasty dish he created, writing in the caption, “Still loving what I do!” By the way, he’s an expert in blowtorch cooking and often participates in special culinary experiences in the cruise industry and works as a private chef, according to his website.
What Else Does Ben Robinson Do for a Living?
In 2022, he expanded his brand and launched a knife (and a hot sauce). He also appeared alongside Bravo’s Top Chef alum Antonia Lofaso on the cooking series Beachside Brawl.
His Friendship with Kate Chastain Remains Strong
The former Below Deck chief stew revealed that she thinks her longtime BFF has what it takes to someday compete on Peacock’s The Traitors (Kate appears on Season 1, which is streaming now on Peacock). “I think Chef Ben would be fantastic,” she shared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen during a recent Clubhouse appearance. “He’s a good liar, and that’s a high compliment.”
For now, we'll have to settle for watching Ben (and Kate!) on Galley Talk, which is fine by us.
What Else Is Ben Doing Today?
When Season 4 of Galley Talk was announced back in December (the same month Ben celebrated turning 42), his bio noted, “Chef Ben is accomplished on both land and sea. He has more than 15 years of experience in yachting as a head chef, including on the largest sailing yacht in the world. Previously, Ben worked under Italian master chefs in Florence as well as at three-star Michelin restaurant the Fat Duck, based in the U.K. Originally from Oxford, England, and currently residing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ben has a high-end boutique catering business that currently takes him all over the world, preparing meals for exclusive clientele. He’s also a holistic nutritionist and able to accommodate any dietary restriction. Ben returns to Galley Talk to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience serving his thoughts on Below Deck.”
