Where Ben Willoughby, Camille Lamb, and Leigh-Ann Smith Stand Today After the Below Deck Finale
Find out if Ben stayed loyal to Camille or if he gave his connection with Leigh-Ann a chance on the Below Deck finale.
The three people who were involved in the biggest love triangle on Below Deck Season 10 were never all actually on the boat at the same time, but they still managed to cause plenty of drama.
During the charter season, deckhand Ben Willoughby had a boatmance with deck/stew Camille Lamb. After Camille was fired, the two made plans to meet up in the Dominican Republic at the end of the season to give their connection a real chance. However, Ben’s plans were thwarted when Alissa Humber’s replacement turned out to be Leigh-Ann Smith, a woman the Aussie had matched with on Tinder about a year earlier.
Heading into the March 20 finale, Ben was still feeling “head over heels” for Camille, but he couldn’t deny the fact that he had found an online spark with Leigh-Ann. How did the complicated situation turn out? Keep reading for the finale recap.
Ben Willoughby decided to “live in the moment” with Leigh-Ann Smith on the Below Deck finale.
During the last charter of the season, Ben became worried about his romance with Camille after she acknowledged that she’s not usually someone who texts. Because Ben lives in Australia and Camille is from the United States, the deckhand wondered if he’d even be able to stay in touch with Camille in the future.
With Camille’s admission looming in the back of his mind, Ben decided to explore his bond with Leigh-Ann when the St. David crew went out for the last time together. Fraser Olender pointed out that Ben seemed “far more compatible” with Leigh-Ann than Camille, and Ben responded by saying, “You’re so right.”
When Ben and Leigh-Ann snuck away from the final crew dinner for a few minutes alone, they shared a kiss — which later turned into a make-out on the van ride back to the boat. Once they returned to the yacht, they headed toward one of the guest cabins to spend the night together.
“Part of me is just like, ‘You know what? Live in the moment. You haven’t got, like, an official status or title with Camille, why don’t you just see what happens, because this is where it’s going to happen if anything is going to happen,’” Ben explained about his thought process in an interview.
Where does Ben Willoughby stand with Camille Lamb and Leigh-Ann Smith now?
Though it seemed like Ben was setting his sights on Leigh-Ann, after their night together, they both insisted that nothing had happened between them.
“My heart lies with someone else,” Ben said in a confessional about why nothing happened. He then told Leigh-Ann that he was staying loyal to Camille.
“I really like you, but I really want to see what’s going on with Camille,” Ben told Leigh-Ann before the crew members left the boat for the last time. “That’s just where my heart goes, and I’m gonna follow that.”
Ben left the boat with his sights set on Camille and with plans to meet up with her in the Dominican Republic.
