Did Dave Just Get Engaged?

The epic proposal the Valor crew just pulled off wasn't the first time a couple got engaged on Below Deck. Back in Season 1, David Bradberry's boyfriend, Trevor Knight, asked him to marry him via Skype while the deckhand was on charter (clip above), and he said, "Of course!"

David and Trevor would go on to live happily ever after for several years after his time on Below Deck. But unfortunately, this fairytale romance has come to an end.

Trevor confirmed that he and David have broken up in a post on Facebook on October 10, as reported by Towleroad. "I feel a need to let everyone know that David Alanson Bradberry and I are no longer together. I’ve been single for awhile now," he wrote. "I don’t need any calls, texts or DMs. I’m doing it alone. I will not answer any questions."

Trevor said that he still intends to keep David a part of his life after almost a decade together. "He was part of me for 9 years and I will never forget him nor lose contact with him. We made a family together and so we work together with that. Thank you for understanding and respecting my space," he ended the post before signing off as "the very single, Trevor Knight."

David, who appeared in Seasons 1 and 3 of Below Deck, has not publicly commented on the split yet.

David Bradberry Break Up 01

David first met Trevor during pre-production of his first feature independent film Bite Marks, he said in a July 2013 blog post on BravoTV.com. "I had already been cast, and I was helping with the readings for the other principle roles," David said. "Trevor was working as the film's Assistant Director."

It's unclear if David and Trevor actually ever officially tied the knot after their engagement. David wrote in his BravoTV.com blog, "We had decided early on that we that we would not begin the wedding planning until Proposition 8 was overturned. Now that it has been, wedding bells are in the future. Trevor's dream wedding is in Boston Harbour, and we'll certainly keep our friends, fans, and followers informed."

David and Trevor had been living together in Studio City, California, according to the deckhand's Season 3 bio on BravoTV.com.
