Josiah Carter Has Big News: “Going to Be a Stepgranddad Before I’m 30”
The Below Deck alum explained how his family will be expanding this year.
Josiah Carter’s family is growing once again! The Below Deck alum recently announced that there’s a sweet little bundle of joy on the way, which will give him a brand new role: “stepgranddad.”
In a January 11 Instagram post, Josiah and his boyfriend, Michael Groves, posed alongside Michael’s son, Tom, and his girlfriend, Octavia. The crew was all smiles as they showed off a series of sonogram photos.
“So excited to share the news that Tom (Michael’s son, for those that don’t know) and his girlfriend Octavia are having a baby,” Josiah announced in the caption of the post. “2021 just got a whole lot better! Does this mean I’m going to be a stepgranddad before I’m 30?”
A number of Josiah’s fellow yachties reached out to share some love, including his Below Deck Galley Talk cast mate and Below Deck Mediterranean alum, Julia d’Albert Pusey. “I love this!! Woop woop! Congratulations all around,” she wrote. Chef Rachel Hargrove also chimed in, “Congratulations to you.”
“Stepgranddad” isn’t the only new title Josiah has taken on lately. The stew and his boyfriend became “officially parents” when they adopted a sproodle (Springer Spaniel poodle mix) named River in December.
Josiah recently opened up about what life has been like now that River has joined in on the fun. “2020 hasn’t been that bad, not least because we got our puppy at the end of it. Let’s hope 2021 will bring back hugs and happiness for everyone,” he wrote alongside a sweet photo from a walk with River. “Love you all and obviously you Michael @mikestg365 thanks for being you and picking me up when I’m down.”
