We Have a Surprising Update on Below Deck's Camille Lamb and Alissa Humber

The stews clashed while crew members, but where do they stand today? Hear Alissa's update.

By Allison Crist

Below Deck's Alissa Humber and Camille Lamb weren't exactly the best of friends while aboard St. David, but now, there's nothing but smooth sailing ahead.

How to Watch

Alissa revealed as much in a February 6 interview with E! News. "Actually, me and Camille talk more than I thought we would," the second stew said. "Camille's reached out to me a few times and we kind of said our piece to each other."

She shared the update while reflecting on Camille's firing, which came after she was repeatedly warned about her work ethic and following a loud argument with Alissa herself in front of the charter guests. However, despite being let go on Below Deck's January 23 episode, fans may recall that Camille made a surprising return to the show the following week — and during a crew dinner, no less — to meet up with deckhand Ben Willoughby, who she'd been in a boatmance with.

Weighing in on the decision, Alissa said, "I believe the dinner and her surprise was a little bit disrespectful. I was going through a lot with the firing, feeling guilty because she had told me I should be guilty, but I wasn't guilty of anything. I just defended myself against somebody who got aggressive when they were told to do their job."

"I'm glad that she got she and Ben got closure," Alissa continued, "but at the same time, a three-week relationship is not worth the mental health of a coworker and a crew mate."

Thankfully, any tension seems to be in the past.

Does Alissa Humber Regret Calling Captain Sandy Yawn a Bitch?

There's no telling if that's the case for Alissa and Captain Sandy Yawn, though, considering the insults Alissa hurled behind the captain's back on the February 6 episode of Below Deck. Although, Alissa did admit on a subsequent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she'd take back her comments if she could.

"I think about her often, and honestly, she taught me some very hard lessons that nobody’s been able to teach me in my 22 years before the show," Alissa said of Captain Sandy. "And I’m grateful for her."

Camille had her own troubles with Captain Sandy — who's temporarily filling in for Captain Lee Rosbach — but as is the case with Alissa, the two seem to be on better terms these days. As Captain Sandy recently told E! News, "I did a fundraiser for the maritime industry and [Camille] showed up. A lot of Below Deck people showed up that I didn't even invite and I thought that's pretty awesome, because they love the maritime industry."

Captain Sandy added that while she and Camille aren't "buddies," she "love[d] the support," Camille showed.
