Austen Kroll Opens up About Bonding with Madison LeCroy's Son
The Southern Charm gent discusses the future of his on-again, off-again relationship.
Austen Kroll and his ex(?)-girlfriend Madison LeCroy had a serious discussion about the future of their relationship during the Southern Charm crew's trip to Colorado in Wednesday night's episode. Unfortunately, Austen and Madison still didn't seem to appear to be on the same page when it came to his partying ways.
Austen shared during an interview in the episode that he's not sure if he's ready to take his relationship with Madison to the next level, including the possibility of becoming something of a father figure to her son. "She is a single mother. I'm not sure if I'm ready to be a stepdad," Austen said. "I mean, I can barely take care of myself, let alone a life of another human."
When The Daily Dish caught up with Austen earlier this season, he confirmed that he had met Madison's son, and the three of them had spent some time together, doing things like getting together to eat pizza. "Her son is a very cute kid, and he's very well-behaved," Austen shared. "But with her and her son, it's like a week on and a week off kind of thing, so I'm not constantly around him."
The possibility of becoming a parent one day is something that Austen has thought about and sought some guidance on from Kathryn Dennis. "She asks me the hard questions that I don't really have the answers for. It's like, 'Are you ready to be a father figure? Are you ready to do this and that?'" Austen said. "I'm like, I don't know. I'm just taking it one step at a time."
But of course, Austen is leaving it up to Madison to decide what is going to be the best for her and her family's future. "I'm kind of following her lead because she's the ultimate kind of decision-maker here on if I'm the right fit for her lifestyle and so on and so forth," he said. "So I've always been following Madison's lead. And I really think that we just kind of [take it] one day at a time."
