Ariana Madix's Resurfaced Interview Is Making Waves Amid Her Tiff with Scheana Shay

On Season 11, Episode 7 of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay will sit down with former boss Lisa Vanderpump to talk about how she took dance classes in the hopes of one day being cast in the dance competition series that Ariana Madix ultimately placed third on.
In a preview for the episode, which will air on March 12, the one-time SUR waitress gets candid about how she has mixed emotions about Ariana getting cast on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars. "It was kind of a punch to the gut, for sure," Scheana says, which you can check out in the clip above, about what it was like for her when she found out that her bestie was going to appear on the dance show.

Though Scheana had some mixed emotions about the prospect of her close friend appearing on her "dream" show, Ariana also had some thoughts on how Summer Moon's mom would do in the competition.
During Season 32, Ariana chatted with Page Six about which of her castmates she thought would be a good fit on the show.
"Well, I feel like Scheana would be great," Ariana said.
What Scheana Shay Said About Ariana Madix's Dance Career Move
In the preview clip for Season 11, Episode 7, Scheana opens up about finding out that Ariana was getting cast on the dance series.
"A few weeks ago, I picked up Dan at the airport. We grabbed lunch, and he was like, 'Oh, the announcement [is] on Wednesday, [so] Ariana had to stay in town..." Scheana tells Lisa about how she wasn't aware that Ariana was in talks to join the cast.
As Lisa recalls, when she herself appeared on Season 16, Scheana expressed a desire to one day get cast.
"When I did Dancing with the Stars, you said to me, 'That's what I want more than anything,'" Lisa remembers.
Scheana nods, and she notes that she's even done some work in the chance that she would get a call from casting.
"This year, I started taking dance class[es]. I was preparing in case, you know, I did get it," she explains. "It was kid of a punch in the gut, for sure."
In an interview on the episode, Scheana justifies why she's feeling disappointed by Ariana's latest career accomplishment.
"I am so happy for her, but it's like, I can be happy for her and sad for me at the same time," she explains.
"And I mean, good for her, she has come such a long way from being my backup dancer," Scheana adds.
