The Vanderpump Rules cast member partied in New York City with her new beau and a group of pals.
Ariana Madix’s birthday is coming up on June 24. But who says the Vanderpump Rules cast member has to wait until then to celebrate her big day? Not Ariana, and not her pals and her ever-so-“satisfying” new beau, Daniel Wai. (More on him — and Ariana’s satisfaction — later.) While Ariana was in New York City the weekend of June 10, she and her tribe had an early birthday bash for the ages.

On June 11, Daniel shared a snap of himself embracing the soon-to-be birthday girl at the Governors Ball music festival. “She thought she was coming here for a dinner, but got surprised,” the fitness buff wrote.
He went on to share that one of Ariana’s friends, Brad, surprised her on the plane to New York, while a group of more friends unexpectedly showed up to rock out with her at the fest.
Brad posted to his feed as well. “Same best friends, same iconic pose, but make it [New York],” he wrote, captioning a photo of himself and Ariana striking a pose on the rooftop of the Sixty LES Hotel.
Ariana filled her Instagram Stories with snaps from the weekend. The images showed her having a blast at the music festival, where she danced with friends and had a few celebratory shots.
Ariana also hit up Gold Bar, where she held a giant sparkler and sipped a cocktail in front of a wall of golden skulls. Of course, she found plenty of time to pose with the pals who came out to surprise her.
“Happy early (New York) birthday,” Brad wrote on one pic, which Ariana reposted. The photo showed her in an elegant white cocktail dress with her hair swept up and a giant smile on her face.
Who is Daniel Wai?
On May 17, Ariana appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. (Check out some of her appearance in the clip above.) During the sit-down, Andy asked Ariana about her new man. “We’ve all seen photos of you with him,” Andy said. “You look very happy. He’s so cute!”
Ariana didn’t deny her happiness. “I’ll just say that I am very happy and very satisfied,” she replied. The Florida native also let on that the Governors Ball isn’t the first music festival she and Daniel have gone to together. Describing her Coachella experience with her new plus-one, Ariana said she had “the time of [her] life.”
In addition to casual music fests, the pair has had fancy dinner dates. On May 16, Ariana and Daniel booked a table at a high-end NYC eatery before Ariana’s WWHL appearance.
For the occasion at Daniel restaurant, Ariana wore a long-sleeved mauve jersey dress by Saint Laurent. Meanwhile, Daniel cleaned up well in a black suit with a blue button-down shirt.
