Ariana Madix was naturally heartbroken throughout May 17’s Vanderpump Rules Season 10 finale as her breakup from Tom Sandoval played out, but when it came time for her appearance on the subsequent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was all smiles — especially when dishing on the new guy in her life, Daniel Wai.
Ariana Madix and Daniel Wai’s Current Status
Andy asked for details about the fitness trainer — who first sparked romance rumors with Ariana when they were spotted together at Coachella — noting, “We’ve all seen photos of you with him. You look very happy. He’s so cute!”
Responded Ariana, “I’ll just say that I am very happy and very satisfied.”
Looking back at her Coachella experience with Daniel, Ariana described the weekend of the music festival as “the time of my life.”
What the Vanderpump Rules Cast Thinks About Daniel Wai
Several of Ariana’s Vanderpump Rules castmates have since weighed in on the pairing, including Scheana Shay. “The way that I witnessed him treat her, I’ve honestly — not even in the beginning of her relationship with Tom — [never] seen her light up the way she does when he gets around her, when she talks about him,” Scheana told E! News just days before Ariana’s WWHL appearance. “It’s been really, really amazing to just see her so happy.”
Lala Kent agreed, telling the publication that Ariana’s “energy is just completely different” when she’s talking about Daniel. “I’m so happy for her, because as an outsider, I was watching her and her relationship, just really feeling for her… Sandoval [was] sucking her dry, just depleting her of her energy, stifling her fire. It was really sad for me to watch, and I think a huge reason why she and I — our friendship had declined somewhat because I really just did not like her boyfriend. So to see her with this new guy, where she just seems light and excited about life, it’s inspiring.”
How Ariana Madix Is Moving on from Tom Sandoval
Like Ariana said, Daniel is making her “very happy.” However, at the same time, she’s still healing from her split and Tom’s infidelity involving Raquel Leviss. As she put it on WWHL, “There’s definitely a lot of healing and a lot of things I need to work through, but I hope it ends up being ultimately super positive.”
“I feel good,” Ariana added later on. “I definitely feel as though my friends have put me in the best position to be able to heal and grow, and I’m honestly just looking forward. Only forward, not back.”
