Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose toyed with the idea of getting back together on the Southern Charm Season 9 finale, but the latter cast member ultimately decided it was best that they simply remain friends.
"Can we co-exist and be supportive? Just forget, for now, [about] the romantic stuff," Shep said. "Do your thing; I'll do my thing."
He also apologized and pledged to be Taylor's "biggest advocate" before concluding in a confessional, "It breaks my heart. I want to make her happy, even if I'm not with her. But I made the right decision. And maybe we can be happy in the same realm and be happy for each other, and that's my big goal."

Taylor talked about her feelings after reunion host Andy Cohen said to her, "One thing that's clear to me after today is that this season has created some pretty big cracks in the foundation of this group, but I have to say, Taylor, I've been watching you all night and I've been watching the way you've been looking at Shep, and it feels from where I'm sitting that there's still quite a lot of emotion there."
"Yeah, I mean, I have a lot of love there still. Always will, no matter what," Taylor responded to Andy before turning to Shep. "I'm here for you. I'm really happy and proud of you."
Replied Shep, "I have a lot of love for you, too."

Though Taylor told Andy she will "always love" Shep, she revealed that she's not in love with him at the moment.
