Karen Huger's marriage to husband Ray Huger has long been a topic of speculation for The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies. Last season, everything from Ray's tax situation to the couple's move to Great Falls to Karen not wearing her wedding ring during the the girls' trip to France made the RHOP squad wonder if they were heading toward a split. Karen even revealed Ray had once asked her for a divorce "a long time ago."
Fortunately, that all seems to be in the past for the couple. When The Daily Dish podcast asked how she and Ray were doing, Karen said, "The marriage is good. We're hilarious right now, empty-nesters."
Karen, who said that Ray does not have a filter now at age 73, also says they are "solid as a rock." And while things are going well, she has no plans in the works for a vow renewal. "I don't like jinxing things. Let's be real: Some people do that and then the divorce is right after that. I will be the first to say marriage is not easy; why mess with what's working? If you see me do a renewal, it will be something spiritual... and only if Ray wants it. But Ray says I'm such a pistol he could only do it once."
In other words: a vow renewal is not happening.
"Who wants to do that again?" Karen said. "For me, I have the pictures, I have the ring, I have the man 23 years later, and I don't want to rock the boat."
