Brittany Cartwright Makes Eyebrow-Raising Statement About Her Love Life Amid Jax Split (PIC)
The Valley cast member posted a very interesting photo to Instagram while navigating her separation from Jax Taylor.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor have been outspoken about where their relationship stands amid their separation. But, viewers of The Valley can't help but wonder if Jax and Brittany are getting a divorce.
Although the couple is currently separated, Brittany took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 21, where she posted a photo wearing a statement-making shirt. While Jax and Brittany might be just a little coy when it comes to talking about divorce, her shirt is as bold as they come.
Is Brittany Cartwright dating anyone amid split?
If you go by Brittany's latest Instagram post, then she could be. On Tuesday, she posted a photo sitting at Jax's Studio City, looking away from the camera. Brittany looked absolutely fabulous, posing with her hand in her hair while wearing a graphic tee.
"My boyfriend is out of town," Brittany wrote in the caption of the post, reiterating the statement on her shirt. That same day, Jax posted videos of himself and Brittany at a trampoline park with their son, Cruz Cauchi, proving that he, at least, was very much in town.
But, Brittany has stated that she is not quite interested in dating just yet. "It's weird to even think about dating," Brittany told Us Weekly in April.
She admitted to the magazine that dating someone would be hard on Jax. "We act like it would be OK, but I'm not sure," she said. "I think he'd freak out if he saw me with a man. I'd be upset, too. You can get over those things, but the first one might be strange."

Are Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright getting divorced?
At the moment, Jax and Brittany are still separated and haven't confirmed next steps in terms of divorce. In February, Brittany announced in an episode of her podcast that they would be taking some time apart for the sake of their relationship and her mental health. "I won't get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about and I'm taking things one day at a time," she said.
While Jax has been adamant that he doesn't believe in divorce, Brittany revealed in The Valley Season 1, Episode 10 that she has no problem separating for her own sake.
Why are Jax and Brittany split up?
"I think Jax doesn't appreciate me as much anymore because he doesn't think that I will ever leave him and he knows that I'm so quick to forgive, always," Brittany said during a confessional in the episode. "Like we'll fight and then 30 minutes later, he thinks everything is fine. He doesn't realize, like, the emotional damage it does to me."
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month, Jax opened up about his side of the split. "I'm going through a lot of things with my mental health right now, and it's a real tough process," he said.
He insisted that their separation was "strictly a communication thing." "And until I can fix myself and get to where I want to be, I can't be good for her," he said.
Brittany admitted on an April 2 episode of WWHL that she does not know what the future holds for them. "Everything's kind of up in the air right now," she said. "I feel like I'm really strong right now. I feel like I've grown a lot in the past couple of years, especially after having Cruz, I feel like I've grown so much stronger. And I feel like I deserve better."
