Whatever Happened to Bali Chainani's Boyfriend O'Malley on Family Karma?
The Family Karma cast member explains why we didn't see her beau in Season 2.
When we first met Bali Chainani in Season 1 of Family Karma, we also got to meet her family, including daughter Anushka and boyfriend O'Malley. Fast forward to Season 2, and Bali is still clocking as much family time, although the Kentucky-based O'Malley has been noticeably absent.
Bali explained where O'Malley has been this season during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 28. "He's still my boyfriend. We're boyfriend and girlfriend. Still the same boyfriend," Bali assured fans. "We just filmed during COVID, it was very strict COVID protocol, and he just couldn't be here for the season."
She later shared during the WWHL After Show that not having O'Malley there during filming was a thorn of the season (clip above).
However, Bali and O'Malley, who celebrated their sixth anniversary in October 2020, have spent plenty of time together off-camera in the months since this season of Family Karma was filmed, including Diwali, Valentine's Day, the Kentucky Derby, and even a Season 2 premiere party.
As Bali got ready to ring in 2021 with O'Malley and Anushka, she couldn't help but share how much her boyfriend has meant to her throughout the course of their relationship. "Thank you for teaching me that being in love is a luxury [and] I’m grateful to have it [and] feel it from [O'Malley]," Bali gushed on Instagram on New Year's Eve 2020. "You have been THE MOST patient, thank you for loving me madly."
