Annemarie Wiley Reflects on Her First Season on RHOBH

After clashing with castmates Sutton Stracke and Crystal Kung Minkoff throughout Season 13, Annemarie looked back on her first season as a 'Wife.

"I am [confident.] I always do speak my mind," she said about why she often found herself asking the other ladies questions. "I'm always very honest with things I observe and I see, because I feel like that's truly the only way to get to know people."

Annemarie Wiley Opens Up About the Death of Her Mom, Jane

In an emotional moment from the reunion, host Andy Cohen shared that Annemarie's mother, Jane, died during filming for Season 13. Annemarie opened up about the heartbreaking loss, saying, "She had this terrible cough, so I made her a doctor's appointment, and they found an 8 by 7 centimeter tumor in her lung."

"It's been a hard year," she added.

"And all of this was going on while you were filming the show," Andy said. "You didn't share it with the others."

Annemarie explained why she chose to keep her mother's health issues to herself during filming. "At a certain point, I was like, 'You know what? I just want to compartmentalize and not have to [share]," she said.

During an exclusive pre-reunion chat with BravoTV.com, Annemarie confirmed that her mom had passed away from Stage IV lung cancer three months after filming concluded. She noted that the loss had been "really tough on [her] family."

Annemarie also shared why it was important for her to discuss what she was going through at that time during the reunion.

"In general, I just really want people to get a sense, period, of who I am as a person, because we didn't really see me..." she said about her reunion goals. "You didn't see what I was dealing with on the other side of the camera, like my mom's cancer diagnosis, my mom passing away, my adoption trauma, and everything. I just want people to get to know me as a person."

Watch the final two parts of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. Stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
