Andy Cohen Reveals If He Could Ever See "Second Generation Housewife" on Real Housewives

WWHL host Andy Cohen shared his thoughts on casting a Real Housewives kid: "Seems..."

By Shannon Raphael

The Real Housewives has been on the air since its first installment, The Real Housewives of Orange County, premiered in 2006, but is it time for a second-generation 'wife?

How to Watch

Tune in to WWHL on Bravo Sunday through Thursday and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

During a recent Instagram Q&A with his followers, Andy Cohen revealed whether he thinks a second generation 'wife (aka the child of a current cast member or alum) will ever appear on one of the Real Housewives shows.

"Seems inevitable," he teased in one Instagram Story alongside a cast image from RHOC Season 4, which you can check out below. "But in how many years and who???!!!"

Though the executive producer and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host believes that it's "inevitable" that a one-time Housewives kid will one day become a cast member, he doesn't think that it will be in the near future.

"(No time soon)," he concluded in his Instagram Story post on the matter.

Andy doesn't believe that a Housewives kid will be cast "soon," but many of them have grown up before viewers' eyes and are now spouses, parents, and businesspeople themselves.

Andy Cohen teases his dream Real Housewives kids cast

It may be a while before there's a second-generation 'wife, but it isn't the first time that Andy has thought about it.

Back in 2022, Andy was asked about the Housewives kids he'd want to see on a show together during an Ask Andy segment on WWHL, citing some of  the daughters from The Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and The Real Housewives of New York City who he thinks would be a good fit. He noted, "That would be the beginning of it."

In fact, Andy told The Daily Dish back in 2021 that "a lot of times the kids are the ones who are keeping the parents on track," so it could make sense to see them share their lives on Bravo someday.

It may be a while before Bravo fans see a second-generation cast member, but, in the meantime you can find out what's airing on Bravo this fall
