Andy Cohen’s Elaborate Hanukkah Gift For Ben Took “A Few Hours” To Put Together (PHOTOS)
Watch What Happens Live's Andy Cohen had just a bit of a struggle with gifts on the first night of Hanukkah.
Andy Cohen's 2024 Hanukkah celebration with son, Benjamin Cohen, and daughter, Lucy Cohen, is officially under way!
After revealing his plans for the holiday season earlier this month (more on that below), the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host has finally put everything in motion, and he seems to be having a blast with his two kids.
Andy took to his Instagram Story on Dec. 25, Christmas morning and the first night of Hanukkah, where he revealed that Ben received a super elaborate Lego set. The father of two held up the box containing "240 pieces" of Lego bricks, in order to make an "interstellar spaceship toy."
"Here we go," Andy exclaimed in the Instagram Story. "I need your help, Lucy, OK?"
Luckily, Ben was eager to help his dad create the masterpiece and lend both hands to the process. "Oh, I'll definitely help," he told Andy. "I build like a hundred Legos."
In spite of the help, the spaceship (which even comes with a mini astronaut figurine) took a while for Andy to complete. "It only took a few hours," Andy revealed, holding up the completed project. "This is pretty cool!"
He then passed off the spaceship to Ben, who seemed very eager to play. "Ben, enjoy," he said, passing it off to the 5-year-old. "Happy Hanukkah my man!"
After playing with toys, Andy took to his Instagram Story where he revealed that the family of three dined on french fries at the West Village diner, La Bonbonniere.
Andy Cohen's 2024 holiday plans
In a Dec. 11 interview with The Daily Dish, Andy opened up about what his holiday plans for this year entail. But he also highlighted which items his kids were very excited to get for Hanukkah. "Ben is asking for Legos," he explained (which is exactly what the little boy got on the first night of Hanukkah).
"Lucy is not really asking for anything, but she's very into Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck," he continued. "I just Googled to find out where the Disney Store is. I think I'm gonna bop up there and get her a bunch of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck stuff."
He also revealed that he was looking forward to having a good old fashioned holiday season in Manhattan. "We're gonna be around, and we'll celebrate," he said. "You know, Hanukkah is on Christmas this year. So we'll celebrate that, and I'm really excited."
During another chat with The Daily Dish at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami in November, Andy revealed that Ben and Lucy love lighting the menorah candles throughout the eight nights of Hanukkah. "They've come to really look forward to it and they understand what it is, and it's great," he said.
