Amanda Confronts West Over Ciara in Unseen Reunion Moment: “Seems Like a Pattern"
Amanda Batula criticized West Wilson's inability to commit to Ciara Miller on the Summer House Season 8 reunion.
West Wilson and Ciara Miller finally revealed the fate of their relationship during Part 1 of the Summer House Season 8 reunion, and based on a previously unseen moment that can now be viewed as part of the extended and uncensored reunion episode streaming exclusively on Peacock, Amanda Batula was not happy to hear how West handled things.
"It just makes me upset. I feel like were all looking out for Ciara all summer and rooting for the two of them," Amanda said, before turning to West and addressing him directly. "And part of me feels like you knew you weren't ever gonna be able to commit."
She went on to cite the conversation that West had with his aunt about his relationship history — more specifically, the admission that the last time he had a girlfriend was "in high school." That, and "everyone else you kind of dated for long periods of time without putting a title on it," Amanda pointed out.
"And there was a part of me that was hopeful this time would be different," she concluded, "but it just seems like a pattern with you. You have a really hard time committing."
West didn't object. Instead, he replied, "Yeah, that's fair."

Amanda, was, of course, not the only one who took issue with West's approach to his relationship with Ciara. Paige DeSorbo also expressed her disappointment in the Season 8 newcomer after he explained that one of the reasons he never wanted to fully commit to Ciara was because he didn't want to be viewed as "some f-cking dude who came onto the show and is just Ciara's puppet the whole time."
"That would be a very lucky spot for you," Paige replied.
Later, she also told West, "No one's faulting you that you came on a show, it's about to air, it is women viewers, they're gonna love the new guys, you're all memes, there's so many DMs — we get the allure of that. But we are also [Ciara]'s friend, so we see the allure of her. I mean, you'd have to be blind to not."
"So we couldn't understand how the fame, the lights, and cameras were so much more enticing than your real life," she continued. "Like, we live our real lives and then there's a camera. We don't live our real lives because there's a camera."
What happened between West and Ciara?
Ciara and West confirmed on Part 1 of the Summer House Season 8 reunion that they continued dating after filming wrapped. Their relationship consisted of hanging out "every day," and Ciara even traveled to two different states to meet several members of West's family. They never had a conversation about being exclusive, though.
Then, in December 2023, Ciara and West ended their relationship. "We had a talk and I thought we were on the same page as we were going through that dinner," West said, to which Ciara responded, "He was ready to go to the next bar, and I went home crying."
Ciara subsequently went "no contact" with West after their breakup.
"I stopped talking to you altogether," she said. "Because I think that's mean to take someone to your parents' house and want to sleep with them when you have no intention of doing anything."
