Alexis Bellino Reveals What It Was Really Like to Be a Charter Guest on Below Deck with Andy Bohn
The RHOC alum reflected on the experience of appearing on a Below Deck episode with her now ex, Andy Bohn.
As you might recall, Alexis Bellino made quite the splash when she popped up on Season 7 of Below Deck. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum boarded a charter on the Valor with her then-boyfriend and former-fiancé Andy Bohn. To put it mildly, their openly affectionate nature left quite the impression on the crew, including then-chief stew Kate Chastain.
Alexis Bellino's Below Deck Episode Details
Alexis and Andy appeared on Below Deck back in Season 7, Episode 15 which aired in Janaury 2020. The former couple's PDA was a hot topic during their stay on the Valor (the episode was also titled "Public Displays of Affection"). "She just got divorced, and I don't know if she's trying to prove it to her ex or her friends that she is doin' fine!" Kate said during an interview in the episode. "But you can be doin' fine without having a tongue down your throat."
We later heard from Alexis about her experience as she reflected on that charter like never before in an interview with Bravo Insider's Life After Bravo back in 2021 (Andy joined her for the interview; they later split up in 2023 following an engagement).
"We don't mind PDA. I know some people are against it," she said of their much-discussed kissing during the charter and shared even more secrets about her time on Below Deck, which you can check out in full, above.
Alexis Bellino's life since Below Deck Episode
A lot has changed for Alexis since her Below Deck charter and, yes, that 2021 interview with Life After Bravo. In fact, she and Andy have since split up after a 3-year engagement. Their breakup came after the passing of her mother.
"The death of a close person like your mom either makes a couple or breaks a couple,” Alexis shared in an interview with Page Six in November 2023. “And, unfortunately for me, it broke us.”
Alexis and Andy broke up and called off their engagement in September. “Drew and I have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple,” Alexis’ statement read. “Despite this, our love for each other remains strong, and we both sincerely wish nothing but the best for one another. We recognize that it’s in our best interest to pursue separate paths.”
Alexis’ statement — which was released one month after the death of her mother, Penelope — added: “We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for both of our families as we navigate through this breakup, especially considering the recent [loss] of my mother.”
She has since been dating Shannon Storms Beador's ex, John Janssen.
Alexis Bellino's ring from Van Cleef & Arpels
In December 2023, Alexis revealed that John had gifted her a ring from Van Cleef & Arpels for Christmas. “Words cannot. Actions do," she said about the piece of jewelry. “I will no longer feel guilty. I will not apologize. Love will create it’s own story. I love you Johnny J.”
She later confirmed they are not engaged and that the dazzling piece of bling serves as a promise ring.
