Alexander Skarsgard and Jack McBrayer Are the BFFs the World Needs Right Now ... No, Seriously

This is one bromance that, admittedly, has been flying under our radars for quite some time. But, as it turns out, Alexander Skarsgard (with a much better haircut from that last public appearance) and Jack McBrayer have been BFFs for years. It's something that came to our attention following Sunday's 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards, during which Alexander took home a trophy for his work on Big Little Lies. You see, Jack was right there by Alexander's side, and the duo couldn't have looked any more pleased for the chance to get in some hang time.

PEOPLE reminded us of their longtime friendship via writer Jarett Wieselman, who noted on Twitter, "I'm always tickled to remember Alexander Skarsgard and Jack McBrayer are longtime BFFs." And taking a look at some of the photos from Sunday's big event, this two clearly have the kind of friendship we should all aspire to have with just about anyone in our peer circle.

In doing some digging, the dudes have been pals for years. PEOPLE noted the former 30 Rock star made an appearance at the Season 5 premiere for True Blood to support Alexander back in 2012. Or, take for instance that time they were spotted out grabbing some food back in 2013. In 2015, the pals teamed up for a Funny Or Die project that landed them in the North Pole for Greenpeace's "Save the Arctic" campaign. The Big Little Lies star even joked about their relationship to Esquire when speaking about the project: "Well, we were [friends] before, but not so much anymore. We were incredibly close until we spent nine days together on a boat in bunk beds."

And that brings us to the 2017 Emmy Awards ... where Jack was right by Alexander's side again... where the jokes just kept on coming.
