There's Been an "Interesting" Development in Olivia Flowers & Austen Kroll's Relationship
Olivia discovered some new information about Austen on Southern Charm.
Olivia Flowers and Austen Kroll's relationship has gone through several ups and downs on Season 9 of Southern Charm, but in Episode 9, there was a very — as Olivia put it — "interesting" development that we didn't see coming.

The episode kicked off with Austen, Shep Rose, Craig Conover, Rod Razavi, Rodrigo Reyes, and Jarett "JT" Thomas waking up at Shep's family's home in North Carolina. As Austen brushed his teeth, the camera zoomed in on the inside of his toiletry kit to show a Polaroid photo of Olivia kissing him on the cheek. Although Austen didn't explain the photo, Olivia found it later in the episode and called the discovery "interesting."
Before the trip to Shep's house, the last time Austen and Olivia saw each other was a turning point in their recent relationship. The exes had been on rocky terms, to say the least, after news came to light about Austen and Taylor Ann Green's kiss, but they came together during Episode 8 for a heartfelt conversation about how to move forward.
Olivia explained in an interview that Austen had really "stepped up" for her following the tragic passing of her brother, Conner. When they met up, they shared their feelings about where they stood.
"It just made me sad to think you thought that I didn't care about our relationship in kinda any sort of capacity. And I just don't want it to be that way ever again," Austen said. "I just realized how important you are in my life."
Olivia replied, "I want to be able to trust you and get back there. I just don't know how. There's a mental blockage."
After talking things through, Olivia expressed that she "[appreciated] the direct line of communication" they were practicing, and Austen agreed, saying, "I just want to keep it going."
Update on Olivia Flowers and Rod Razavi
While Olivia has been navigating her relationships with Austen and Taylor during Season 9, she has also been exploring a new relationship with Rod. During Episode 9, Rod told Olivia he wanted them to "exclusively date." However, Olivia wasn't in the same place. "I am seeing other people, and I do want to keep that open with you. My stuff with Austen threw me off. After that, I have this hesitation of getting in a relationship...There's just a hesitation in my own mental space right now."
