Naomie Olindo Needs to Set Some Serious Boundaries with Ashley Jacobs After *That* Lunch

Ashley Jacobs isn't going to win over Naomie Olindo if she continues to act erratic, like Naomie accuses her of doing.

The Southern Charm ladies have been having issues, which reached a head when Ashley called her "a bitch" outside a restaurant in Charleston. Naomie later considered hiding under an table in an attempt to avoid Ashley. 

But Naomie wanted to give her one last chance. She revealed on the Southern Charm Season After Show that she believes everybody, including Ashley, deserves a second chance.  

"This girl is completely isolated, and everybody deserves a second chance, everybody deserves to be heard," Naomie said. "It was the same Ashley, just bizarre, she makes me feel tightness in my chest, I don’t know how to describe it."

So they met for drinks.

She went on to describe Ashley's behavior as "erratic," and said she got nowhere because Ashley was "talking in circles."

Basically, she's over it. 

"I heard [her side] and it still sucks," Naomie said. "She wants to be liked, accepted, but you can’t do that when you behave like that."

What can you do when someone makes you feel that awful? 

According to national etiquette expert Diane Gottsman, Naomie needs to set boundaries with Ashley — and stick to them. In other words, don't meet up with her again if she causes so much stress. 

"The best way to handle someone who is continuously rude to your face is to set your boundaries," Gottsman says. "This might mean a conversation to clear the air or removing yourself from a situation where they will be involved. Continuing to put yourself in a situation that causes distress is not healthy or productive."

Naomie has to remove herself from any drama Ashley is causing, Gottsman adds. 

"Don’t allow yourself to be sucked into their drama," she says. "Avoid jumping into the vat of venom. But don’t be part of the problem. If you are behaving in the same manner you are encouraging and perpetuating the situation."
