Austen Kroll Sounds Off On the Rumor He’s Dating Shep Rose’s Ex, Taylor Ann Green
The Southern Charm cast members addressed the chatter around them at BravoCon 2022. Plus, hear Shep Rose’s response.
Has a new couple hit the Charleston social scene? Not exactly, according to Austen Kroll.
The Southern Charm cast member was asked about the “rumors on gossip sites” apparently pertaining to him and Taylor Ann Green during a show-themed panel at BravoCon 2022. Naturally, his response was brimming with sarcasm. “This is the last panel of the weekend, so we’ve been waiting and waiting to tell you all,” Austen began. “We are madly in love and we’re together.”
He wasn’t ready to give up on the joke just yet, so with a laugh, he added, “Taylor and I are expecting.”
Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Shep Rose, laughed alongside his Southern Charm castmates, even firing back at Austen after the fake announcement. “What are you pregnant with, ideas?” Shep asked, to which Austen responded, “Taylor and I are expecting to kick your ass.”
She was amused by the gag as well, but ultimately made sure to clarify that she and Austen — one of Shep’s best friends — are “totally not together.”
In fact, Taylor said she’s focusing on one person and one person only: herself. As she put it, “Honestly, after watching back the reunion, I just really need to get back to my roots and who I am and the person I know who I am.”
Southern Charm’s Season 8 reunion was particularly contentious for the recently broken up Taylor and Shep; however, she publicly apologized for “jumping down” Shep’s throat while onstage at BravoCon 2022.
Shep’s response? “She never, ever has to apologize to me. I have her back and love her for eternity.”
