Did Montel Williams Just Say What Everyone’s Been Thinking about Wendy Williams?
Here's why these broadcasters have been low-key feuding for more than a decade.
Wendy Williams has become a real life hot topic after almost a year of drama that saw her take a medical leave from her talk show, move into a sober house and file for a contentious divorce from husband Kevin Hunter, who allegedly had a child with his mistress of more than a decade.
Former talk show host Montel Williams, who has no relation to Wendy, was asked if he had any advice for her going forward, as she must endure divorce proceedings as the public watches and judges.
“Wendy’s show is so much different than mine, where she does a program that literally has for years now, honestly, belittled and put down people who are going through what she’s going through,” Montel said in an interview with Us Weekly. “So it’s that crazy thought that needs to go through your head. Be careful who you point a finger at because you never know when one of them is pointing back.”
If Montel's comments seem like they're coming out of nowhere, we're here to tell you that they've low-key been side-eyeing each other for more than a decade, when Wendy took over the studio where Montel taped his talk show for 17 years and launched The Wendy Williams Show. Wendy gloated about the takeover and even insinuated Montel is gay on a recording of her old New York radio show on WBLS in 2009.
Can't all the Williams just get along?
