Becker's most important role, however, is also the organizer and chairman of Autism Speaks to Wall Street, a Celebrity Chefs Gala that will see its seventh annual event on October 21st, 2013. With his eldest son Sean on the autistic spectrum, Becker feels as if it is his duty to educate and raise awareness about the condition. The gala has proven to be a massive success, extending its reach well beyond celebrity chefs to include musician Harry Connick Jr., who entertained a crowd of highly regarded businessmen and world-class chefs. To date, the event has raised more than 9 million dollars for the Autism Speaks charity.
