Anne Batley Burton
Anne, otherwise known as Champagne Lady, has been importing Champagne, French wine, wine barrels and closures into the New Zealand wine industry for the last 20 years. In 2007, the former champion ballroom dancer was made a “Dame de l’Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne” - Dame of Champagne. Anne was the first female (and youngest) public company director in New Zealand at Batley Printing. She is also the recipient of the SPCA Assisi Award for her outstanding services to animals.
