Jill Learns the Importance of Power Posing

Odd Mom Out's season premiere was full of surprises, from meeting Jill's icily hilarious former boss to learning all about Brooke's new "shedonism" manifesto. But there was one Easter egg you may not have caught...a nod to the '80s cinematic masterpiece Working Girl.

Confused? We'll break it down for you. At the start of Jill's attempt at returning to the workforce at her former magazine, she breaks into song -- Carly Simon's "Let the River Run" from the Working Girl soundtrack -- intent on conquering the corporate ladder just like Melanie Griffith's Tess McGill. Take a moment to treat yourself to the official music video:

Fun Fact: Carly Simon took home an Oscar and a Golden Globe for this song.

And be sure to catch the next episode of Odd Mom Out Monday at 10/9c when a kale panic grips the denizens of New York's Upper East Side.
