Jill Kargman and Seth Meyers Are Teaming Up for the Reboot of Our Dreams
The #OddMomOut creator is transplanting the kooky family of The Munsters to Brooklyn, naturally.
Jill Kargman is going from being an Odd Mom Out to helping to craft the upcoming The Munsters reboot — and she's getting a little help from Seth Meyers. Deadline reports that Jill will write the script and executive produce the series, with the Late Night host's Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions also on board to produce.
The reboot will put a fresh spin on the beloved kitschy '60s sitcom and will follow an eccentric family, now struggling to fit in in... Brooklyn. The show's original family included the characters of Herman Munster and his monster-fied clan of Eddie, Lily, Grandpa, and Marilyn living in California; we're excited to see how Jill updates them for the new millennium.
As it turns out, it was the Odd Mom Out creator and star who came up with the fresh spin on the classic sitcom, according to Deadline. The half-hour single-camera series is currently in development.
Of course, things have been known to get spooky on Odd Mom Out, as you can see from a preview for next Wednesday's episode, below.
