Serena Williams' Dream Honeymoon! Look Inside Her Epic Bahamas Villa (PICS)
Wait until you see the aerial view...
Tennis pro Serena Williams and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alex Ohanian, recently wed in a fairytale ceremony, and the so-in-love duo naturally made sure their post-nuptials were equally magical. So where did Serena Williams honeymoon? In the Bahamas (near where Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are having a rather different kind of vacation, as it happens).
Following their dreamy wedding in New Orleans, the newlyweds traveled to the Caribbean for a little R&R at Kamalame Cay near the Andros Great Barrier Reef. In an email sent to Jet Set, Booking.com gave us the deets re: everything we wanted to know about Serena and Alex’s romantic villa.
First off, their four-bedroom villa goes for a lofty $35,000 per week! That comes out to $5,000 per night. But the eyebrow-raising rate for a hidden oceanfront villa doesn’t come without serious amenities. According to Booking.com, Serena and Alex were able to enjoy ample privacy with access to Kamalame Cay’s spa (which is casually the only open water spa in the Bahamas!), ocean views, and everything else the lodge has to offer… including a tennis court.
Serena and Alex shared a couple snapshots of their stay on Instagram to give us a taste:
Alex broke out his Phantom drone to capture sky-high footage of their luxe villa and its lush surroundings. “Couldn't help but fly my Phantom a bit on the honeymoon. @SerenaWilliams caught me getting some spectacular shots around @kamalamecay,” the tech founder captioned a photo of him toying with the drone on November 28, before adding that his now-wife Serena had shared some of its footage on her ‘gram.
Over on her profile, Serena did, indeed, post some pretty cool shots, simultaneously thanking Booking.com for hooking her and her husband up with such breathtaking honeymoon digs.
How fun is that? Per Booking.com, Kamalame Cay specializes in barbecue cuisine, so these two were definitely well-fueled for their photo opp.
Be right back, going to plan our own (not real at all) honeymoon à la Serena and Alex.
