5 Epic Worldwide Villas to Rent With Your Squad for the Ultimate House Party
Think: less keg stands, more Armand de Brignac flutes clinking.
Traveling in a pack doesn't have to mean cramped accommodations or settling for something less than ultra-glam. Whether you need to spend quality time with 10 of your closest besties — luxe girls getaway or intimate destination wedding perhaps? — or just want to be able to wander around in your Chanel bikini all day away from prying eyes, it's always worth the splurge to rent a private villa. Here are five stunners you'll want to consider for your squad's posh crash pad.
1. Amanzoe, Greece
Aman hotels, in our opinion, are some of the best in the world but their ultra-exclusive Amanzoe in the Greek Peloponnese really brings the luxury experience to another level. Surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the Aegean Sea, the resort's nine-bedroom villa is spread over six levels, all connected by elevators, and sleeps up to 20 guests. The grounds cover close to four acres and feature six pools, including two infinity pools; a spa (with double treatment room, waterbed treatment room, steam room, hammam, cold plunge pool, lap pool, and whirlpool) and a full staff to attend to you and your crew's every whim. If you get a taste of the good life — and who wouldn't — the resort also kindly offers some villas that you can buy. Rates begin at $17,000 per night, but they'll throw in breakfast for you.
2. Cheval Blanc Randheli, Maldives
We've already marked out Cheval Blanc Randheli as proud owner of some of the world's best hotel pools, but that's merely the beginning of what the resort's insane four-bedroom Owner's Villa, managed by Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), has to offer. Situated on its own two-acre private island, the villa has its own overwater spa, private jetty, a full on-site staff available 24/7 and, yes, an 80-foot-long infinity pool. Prices are available upon "application" and you need approval to even look at the website. Frankly, if you have to ask...
3. Six Senses Samui, Thailand
This wellness-focused resort, hidden away amongst the rainforest on the north shore of the Thai Gulf Coast island of Koh Samui, is a stellar pick whichever of its 66 teak bilevel villas you pick (most of them come with private plunge pools). For the gang, though, the massive two-bedroom Retreat villa offers the ultimate celeb-style hideaway. Just shy of 7,000 square feet in total, the villa's gorgeous infinity-edged swimming pool, directly accessed from the living room, measures 1,150 square feet alone and is surrounded by a spacious sundeck and loungers. There are two master bedrooms with separate walk-through dressing areas; bathrooms with outside showers, a personal in-villa butler, and, why not, a private bar and wine cellar. Don't spend all your time in-villa though, the hotel's award-winning Dining On The Rocks attracts foodies from around the island and beyond. Rates start at $1,827 per night.
4. Eden Rock, St Barths
Eden Rock's aptly named 16,000-square-foot Rockstar Villa provides everything a hedonistic rockstar might require to party in privacy. The walled villa even has its own recording studio, complete with the mixing desk on which John Lennon's "Imagine" was produced, and will bring in producers and local musicians to help aspiring rockstars hit the right note. Made up of two houses connected by a fountain courtyard and cloisters, the villa's six bedrooms sleep up to 10 people and amenities include a personal butler and chef. The Glen Affric whiskey bar offers 40 different whiskies but we suspect a stiff Jack Daniel's is most guests' tipple of choice. Nightly rates begin at a rockin' $20,000.
5. The Tryall Club, Jamaica
Tucked away on a hill overlooking The Tryall Club, a private club on a former plantation, the 10-bedroom, two-level Create Abundance villa offers views across Montego Bay and the services of six staff members, including butler and private chef. The villa fits up to 18 close friends but if you plan to entertain, the main balcony accommodates 50. If children are part of your group, you'll likely be relieved to hear that there is a Kids' Club on site offering a full roster of activities allowing you and your adult friends to enjoy the infinity pool and private beach in peace. Summer rates begin at $21,365 for the week.
