Here's Proof Ryan Serhant Is the Sappiest New Dad Ever
The tough Million Dollar Listing New York power agent has a soft spot for baby Zena.
Ryan Serhant has a reputation for being a tough and competitive real estate agent, but he's got a super soft spot: his baby, Zena!
"It sounds so cliche, but I didn’t know that — everyone says this — but I didn’t know it was possible to love someone so much," he recently admitted to Entertainment Tonight. "I just always thought it was bulls-t. 'I’m sure your kid is cute, yeah, I love my parents,' you know? But then you have your own baby, and she's screaming, screaming, screaming when she came out of the womb, doctors all over her, they put her in my hands and told me to talk to her. They said, 'She’s going to recognize your voice from the womb,' and, in my head, I said, 'Yeah, OK, I guess…' I start talking, and she immediately looks at me and stops crying, and I was like, 'OK, my life just changed.' It was crazy. Such a crazy, crazy moment, and it gets better every day.”
This week, the Million Dollar Listing New York mogul welcomed his little girl and wife, Emilia Bechrakis Serhant, home with an over-the-top balloon display reading, "Welcome Home Family."
"The best day," he wrote in a sweet Instagram post. "My family is home."
In another Instagram post, Emilia explained that she and Zena have been away for two months. The whole family was house hunting in Greece in July, but Ryan returned to the city before his family so he could get back to work.
Ryan understood that Emilia needed a break from the bustle of New York City because they are well-matched in their energy levels in their partnership.
"If your partner is not on the same energy level, and if your partner isn’t thriving in the same type of environment, they may not understand your reactions to certain situations, and then you become a selfish being in their eyes," he wrote in his blog. "If I need a break, Emilia understands that it’s not personal and has nothing to do with her, and everything to do with what I went through that day. If the other person can’t truly relate to that, it becomes really, really hard on a relationship."
But he's clearly overjoyed that they're home! Look at that proud papa smile:
