Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira Had the Fiercest Hairstyles at New York Fashion Week

Black Panther anticipation is building to a peak, and the film's stars are only adding to its buzz by bringing the best beauty looks to each and every event that supports the Marvel film.

Even in the midst of New York Fashion Week — where, obviously, there are envelope-pushing beauty statements everywhere — stars Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira managed to stand out. And by stand out, we mean leave us squealing over the sheer fierceness of their hair. 

On February 12, the co-stars hit the "Black Panther: Welcome to Wakanda NYFW Showcase" at New York's Industria Studios. Both stunners wore tomato red, with Gurira in a dress by Dion Lee and Nyong'o in a look from Cushnie et Ochs. And, both had hairstyles that stopped us in our tracks.

While Nyong'o wore sculpted braids, Gurira showcased the elaborate designs that have been shaved into her short 'do. Check out the looks for yourself: 

The Monday night event served just one more example of the out-of-this-world hair that the Black Panther premieres have been serving. To review: 

For the European premiere on February 8, Nyong'o let her natural curls cascade from either side of a twisted bun that was tied up in sliver string. 

At the film's Seoul premiere on February 5, the Oscar Winner turned heads with a hairstyle that was flecked with layered gold bands. 

And, for the Hollywood premiere on January 29, Nyong'o wore a stratospheric top knot that we couldn't take our eyes away from — well, except to check out her regal dress. 

While we're psyched for Black Panther to hit theaters on February 16, we have to confess that we'll miss the constant style inspiration from its show-stopping press junket.
