Lil' Kim Looked Like an Exotic Sea Creature with Green Mermaid Hair
The hip-hop star debuted an unexpected new hairstyle.
You won't be shocked to hear that Lil' Kim wore her hair in an elaborate style, with a shocking new hue, at New York Fashion Week. After all, this is the woman who's had purple hair, blue hair ... name any color of the rainbow, and her head has been there.
But, the rapper's beauty look at the February 14 Marc Jacobs show was one of her most intricate and fantastical yet. In short, she looked like she'd emerged from an under-the-sea kingdom to take her place by the runway.
Streaked with oceanic hues ranging from kelp-green to navy blue, Lil' Kim's locks reached down to her waist in seaweed-like tendrils. But, that's not extra enough on its own. The style was topped with a turban held down by white floral barrettes.
Strike a pose, mermaid queen ... We like to imagine those gloves were made for shucking designer oysters and finding pearls.
Take some time to drink in the seafaring hue, because you know it won't last long. On the night just prior to her green hair's debut, Lil' Kim attended The Blonds' NYFW show with a completely different 'do.
This one comprised a tilted pile of lilac waves that channeled Elizabeth Banks in The Hunger Games.
