Connie Britton Stuns on the 2019 Golden Globes Red Carpet
The Dirty John star and Golden Globe nominee was all smiles at the award show.
Connie Britton has earned critical acclaim and multiple award nominations for her portrayal of Debra Newell in Dirty John, including a 2019 Golden Globe nomination, and her elegant arrival at this year's show was nothing less than stunning.
Britton, who is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, kicked off the 2019 award season in a sparkling ivory strapless gown designed by Bravo's Project Runway mentor Christian Siriano. The actress accessorized the look with an equally sparkly clutch, diamond rings, and neutral nails.
Her famous hair was also a highlight, falling in loose waves against her shoulders. The look is courtesy of TRESemmé stylist Anthony Campbell, who’s been responsible for crafting the hair of everyone from Anne Hathaway to Natalie Portman.
To create Britton’s loose waves, Campbell prepped her damp hair with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Blow Dry Balm and TRESemmé Thick & Full Balm for added volume. Then, working off a center part, he blow-dried her entire head using the TRESemmé Thermal Creations 1875 Watt Ultra Power Hair Dryer and a round brush. Next, he sprayed on TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray on 1” sections of her hair before curling with the TRESemmé Thermal Creations 1” Ceramic Curling Iron, leaving the ends slightly less curled to create a soft wave. Lastly, he shook her hair out a bit with his hands and locked in her style by using TRESemmé TRES Two Unscented Extra Hold Hair Spray all over.
The four-time Emmy Award-nominated actress also served as an executive producer on the show, which tells the true story of a woman who falls in love with charismatic John Meehan—played by Eric Bana—but everything isn’t quite what it seems. The result is a twisted tale that has so many shocks, surprises, and eye-opening results.
