Here's Why Captain Sandy Yawn Left Los Angeles and Moved to Denver
The Below Deck Mediterranean boss has a lot to love in her new city.
Captain Sandy Yawn now finds herself in a new city once again! After the Below Deck Mediterranean boss moved to Los Angeles in February 2018, it seemed like she'd found her place to dock.
"I love L.A.," she told Home & Design at the time. "The people, first and foremost. Everyone seems to be happy. I was thinking about it the other day: It’s the weather. When you have people in cold-weather climates, they’re grumpy. They’re always indoors. It’s the vitamin D that’s in the sun [that enlivens people]. You walk outside and it’s that fresh, crisp air, and I love how conscious people are. They care about the environment. It’s a smart city with a great vibe!"
Now, however, the Captain has relocated to the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado — and this time she has moved for a new relationship with gospel singer Leah Shafer, who she met in L.A. last fall.
“I moved here for love,” she told The Cheat Sheet.
